CHAPTER XXX.
AN ACT
Pr)imidin  fiP the paynent of Slaies killed -a.:
eccecutdd on adcount. ofthe late Inturreetion in
this Te*itary andfor ther purpose.
Sic. 1. be it enaeted by theLegislative Coun.
'il and Hote of Representativet ofphe Territory
of Oleans, in Genertl Assembly conv.ened, That
for each and every Slave killed and executed oL
uccount of the late insurrection in this Territory,
there shallbe paid the sun of ihre6 hundred dollar5.
SE c 2. And be it further enacted, That one
Third of the appraised value agreeably to the ap.
praisement returned to the Governor, shall be
paid for the dwelling houses which were burnt
by negroes during the aforesuid insurrection.
And it shall be the duty of the Treasurer of the
*territory, to pay out (f any monies in the
treasury not otherivise appropriated on the war.
