CHAPTER XXIII.
AN ACT
Supplemntary to an act entitled  an act for improving
the Inland Nakaltion of the Territory of Orleans.
Be it enacted bU the Legislative Council and HouTe
of Rpre.rntatives of the Territory of Orleans in general
assembIly convened, That the improvements of the Or-
leans Navigation Company shall not extend to the Bay-
on Plaquemine, notwithstanding the authority given to
said company by the seventeenth section of the act to
which this is a supplement.

Sect. 1. Be it eaacted bU the Legislative C-uncil and
ouse of Repiresentatives of the TcrritrU of Orleans
in general assembly convened, That the act entitled an
act for leying a tax on lands and slaves in the Territory
of Orlcans, is hereby made aanual and of force in the
territory iforesid, except where the provisions of the
same are altered by the present act.
