lates to Eflingham County.

An Act amendatory of an Act to amend the Patrol Laws o ti State,
approved February 20th, 1854,# so far as relates to the county of
Efingham.
Act of Feb.  8. SECTION I. Be it enacted, Sc., That from  and after the pas-
20th, olf4e sage of this Act, the aforesaid Act shall be altered, so that it shall

oAn   by said Act; but that the said Justices of the Inferior Court, shall
be ex. oficio Patrol Commissioners, and do, and perform     all the
duties imposed upon said Commissioners by said Act.

An Act to establish a mounted Police in the county of McIntosh, to levy
a tax upon the slaveholders of the two hundred and seventy-ftirst and
twenty-second Districts Georgia Militia in said county, and fbr other
purposes therein mentioned.
Court of  9. SECTION I. The General Assembly of the State of Georgia do
neIt-h co. enact, That the Inferior Court, or a majority of the Justices of

venience, after the passage of this act, appoint five Commissioners,
who shall continue in office until the second Wednesday in Janu-
ary, 1861, and whose successors shall be elected on said second
Wednesday in January, 1861, and annually thereafter on the same
day and month, in the city of Darien, at which election all quali-
flied voters of said two hundred and seventy-first and twenty-sec-
ond Districts, who are made subject to the tax hereinafter men-
tioned, shall be entitled to vote under the usual legal forms.

office, prescribe all necessary rules and by-laws for their govern-
ment and discipline, and adjust their rates of compensation, and
exercise a general supervisory control over all matters appertain-
ing thereto, including the issuing of executions against delinquent
tax payers hereinafter mentioned.
