1. SEC. I. The General Assenbly of Georgia do enact as followos;
 That from and after the passage of this act, if the owner or any
upc; person hiring any slave, or the guardian or hircr of any frcc person of

hoare guardian or hirer, to live on any lot, or in any house, separate

2. SEc. II. Be itfurther enacted, That it shall not be lawful for

said slave or slaves, or free person or persons of color, may be ar-
rested by warrant, issued by any Justice of the Peace in the coun-
ty, and on conviction before said Justices, who shall have full
loittown-power to try said negroes or free persons of color, if it be a free
