An Act to amend the road laws of this State, soar as relates to the cnnty
of Glynn.

1. Section I. Be it enacted &c., That from and after the pass-
age of' ibis3act, it shall be the duty of the Inferior Court of the coun-
oad Vomn ty of Glynn, at their regular Court in June next, to appoint three
S                                           oommissioners of roads in each district of said county, who shall be
notified by the Clerk of the Inferior Court of such appointment
Nolifled by within ten days after it is made, which commissioners so appointed
Clerk;   shall hold their appointment for the term of two years from the time

Poinunent; so appointed who shall fail, or refuse, or neglect to accept said ap-
Ma efndpointment, shall be liable to a fine of thirty dollars for such failure,
refusal or neglect to perform  his duty as commissioner, which fine
How sewT- shall be recovered by an execution from, and under the hand of the
er (d;   Clerk of the Inferior Court by an order issuing from the Inferior
Court, which order shall be entered upon the minutes of the Court,
metn funless excused from serving for reasons satisfactory to that Court,
MeiAn Ato and the said commissioners shall be required to aeet at some conve-
nient place in each district, and appropriate the road hands on the
several roads of their respective districts, they shall appoint one Of
Treasurer; their number Treasurer in each district, who shall be required to
give bond and security, to the Justices of the Inferior Court for the
time being, and their successors in office in the sum of five hundred
dollars faithfully to apply, and true ieturns to make of all monies in
their hands wvhenever called on, so to dci, by the Justices of the In-
ferior Court, and the commissioners so appointed shall be required
laeetonof to attend on the road from day to day to inspect and direct the
rompeoen working of said roads, and they shall annually be entitled to two
dollars per day, for theime they shall be engaged on said road as
