the first Monday in January to the Tuesday after the first Monday
in October, in each and every year, and affix, and keep an alpha-
betical printed list of such names at the door of the Court House of
Amendment the county of Chatham, and of the Exchange in the city of Savan-
to Me ath nah, for one week from the Tuesday after the first Monday in Octo-
.ection;  ber in every year; and that the eighth section of said act be, and
the same is hereby altered and amended by the substitution of the
words, Thursday before the second Monday in October, for and
instead of the words, third Monday in November, and that the
12thsecti'n twelfth section of said act be, and the same is hereby altered and
amended by the substitution of the words, second Monday in Oc-
tober, for and instead of the words,  first Monday in De-
cember.
8. Sec. VIII. And whereas doubts have been entertained wheth-
er certain bonds issued and disposed of by the city of Savannah
for internal improvements, were legal and valid, therefore be it fur-
ther enacted, That all bonds heretofore issued by the constituted
authorities of the city of Savannah are hereby declared legal and
Bonds made valid, and from and after the passage of this act the Mayor and
legal, Aldermen of the city of Savannah and the hamlets thereof, upon
the recommendation of a public meeting of the citizens of Savan-
nah, called for that purpose, shall have power and authority to
cause bonds to be issued and disposed of in such manner as they
may direet, for purposes of internal improvement, which bonds, so
issued, shall be legal and valid.

er purposcs,
APPROVED, March 3d, 18-56.
1. Section I. Be it enacted, &c., That from and after the pas-
sage of this act, N illiarr B. Conyers, John W. Wood, Charles
incorpoatedRodahan, William H. Acklin and Henry Asbury, and their succes-
sors in office shall be, and are hereby made commissioners of the
town of Carrollton, and shall be known by the name and style of
Powers and Commissioners of the town of Carrollton, and by such their cor-
privege  porate name, shall sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, and
do all other acts relating to their corporate capacity, and shall have
