manner as said commissioners may prescribe.
That said commissioners be, and are hereby authorised to levy
and collect a poll tax on all the persons within the corporate limits
of said town, liable to work on roads, or to do road duty, the same Poll tax, how
not to exceed the sum of five dollars which said poll tax is to benppied.

S. Sec. VIII. And be it further enacted, That the center ofcenter,

An act amendatory ofran act to amend an act entitled an act to incorporate
the town ofNew Gibraltar, in DeKalb county, to appoint Commissioners
for the same, and provide for the election of Commissioners in succes-
sion, and other regulations therein named, and to levy a tax ror the im-
provement ofsaid town, to change the name and extend the limits of
said town, assented to December 17th, 1847, and also to incorporate
the town of Tunnel Hill, in the county of Whitficld, and for other pur-
yoses.

sage of this act, that it shall be lawful for the commissioners of the com'm er
