that said fines and penalties shall be collected by execution against
the property or body of offenders issued and served from under the Execution

who is hereby authorized to execute and return the same.
SxO. XIX. Be it enacted further, That the Marshal of said
town, appointed under the provisions of this Act, shall have the
right to call out any number of men that he may deem necessary, row.
to assist him in the performance of his duties, as prescribed in this
Act, or such as may be prescribed to him by the Commissioners of
said town, and any person so called upon by the Marshall, and re-
fusing to act, shall be liable to a fine of not less than one dollar, nor
more than five dollars, at the discretion of the Commissioners.
SEc. XX. Be itfurther enacted, That the corporate funds, after
defraying the charges incident to the levying and collecting of the
same, shall be, by said Board of Commissioners applied to the nee- Fimh
essary expenses, and improvement of said town, in such a manner
as said Commissioners may deem most advantageous, and said Com-
inissioners shall annually publish, at the end of each year, an ac-
count of such corporate fuinds, exhibiting the amount received in Report.

An Act to amend an Act incorporating the Town of Calhoun, in Gor-
don County, approved, January 12th, 1852, and to extend the cor-
porate limits of I/Ic City of Augusta.
SEoTION 1. Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the State of Georgia, in General Assembly met, and
it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That on the first
Saturday in March, eighteen hundred and fifty-four, and on the
first Saturday in January, in each and every year thereafter, the
inhabitants of the town of Calhoun, who are entitled to vote for Quauificanou
members of the General Assembly of this State, who have resided of voters.

business, and who have paid all lawful County and State taxes im-
posed, as well as all Town taxes hereafter legally imposed, and
