wich this is amnudatory, or a greater amount of money
than will be suflicient to pay the principI and interest

AN ACT to incorpornto the City of Oglethorpe, and to alter and
inend an Act to incorporate the town of Oglethorpe, in the
county of Macon.  Approved, January 22, 1852.
SECIox I. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Rpresentatives of the Stateof Georlia, in, (neral As-
snably vt, anl ;I is herebUl enl1c  by the authoity
coro of the same, That the corporate limits of the City of' Ogle-
IuItaeda.,thorpe, in tihe county of Macon, shall extend friom the De-
pot of the South-Wectern Railroad, within the present cor-
porate limits, one mile in every direction.
Sic. II. And be it further enacted by the authority
Ma or and aforesaid, That the Municipal Government of the City of
^ 'e\nwr Oglethorpe, shall consist of a Mayor aid six Aldermen,
who are hereby constituted a body corporate, under the
name and style of the Mayor and City Council of' Ogle-
thorpe, and by that name and style shall have perpetual
Powrand surccession-shall have a conunon seal, and be capable in
privilege-, law and equity, to purchase, have, hol, receive, enjoy,
possess, and retain, to them and their successors, for the
us~e ot the City of Oglethorpe, any estate or estates, real
or perscinal, of whatsoever kind or nature, within the ju-
risdictional limits of tire City of Oglethorpe, and shall, by
the said iame, be capable of sucing and being sued, in
any Court of L-iv or Equity in this State,, and shall suc-
ceed to all the rights aid liabilities of the present corpora-
tion of the town of Oglethorpe.
Simc. III. Ile it further enacted by the autlhority afore-
Ehtoion or said, That an election shall be li-ld in the Council Cham-
coamv,  ber in the City of Orlethorpe, on the third Saturday in
February, cighteen 7unidred and fifty-two, and on the
first Saturday in January in each year thereafter, for a
Mayor and six Aldermen, to serve for one year and until
