An Act to alter and amend'tle third Section of the fs'rdt
Article of the Chnstitution of this State. Passed, Feb-
ruary 5, 1850. Re-Passed, January 19, 1852.
1. SECTION 1. Be 'it enacted by tht. Senatd (c wiouse qf
Representatives of the State of Georgi 'in General As-
sembly met, and it is herehy enacted by the authority of
one Senator the same, That as soon as this Bill shall be passed agreca-
t.O C, cou0bly to the requirements of the Constitution, the following
shall be adopted in lieu of so much of the third Section of
the first Article of the Constitution as relates to the Sen-
ate :
The Senate shall be composed of one Senator from each
County chosen hiennially by the electors thereof, on the
first Monday in October, until the day of election is alter-
ed by law.

Whereas the irstparagraph of the seventh Section of the
irst Article of the Constitution of this State, as amended in
eighteen hundred and forty-two and eighteen hundred and
forty-three, provides that the Iouse of Representatives
shall be composed of 130 members, each county shall
