Be it enacted bj the Senate and House oj Represenfatives
of the State of Georgia, in General Assembly met, and it is
kerebU enacted by authority <f the same, That the Court
of Ordinary of the. county of Iichmond shall be and it is
hereby authorized to cause citation to issue and to grant
letters dismissory to the said John H lMann, executor of the
will of the said James G Stallings, in due form of law up-
on his making it appear that be has fuily administered the
estate of his said testator.

AN ACT for the relief-of all offenders against the late laws
of this State prohibiting the introduction of slaves into the
same (br the purpose of sale, and prohibiting the sale, of-
fer to sell, or the purchase of slaves within a certain pe-
riod after their introduction into this State.
WiHREAs all laws prohibiting the introduction of slaves
inio this State lor the purpose of sale, and all prohibiting
the sule, offer to sell, or the purchase of slaves at any time
after their introduction into this State, have been re-
pealed by the present General Assembly ; and whereas
the only legitimate object of punishment, the prevention of
crime, ceases with the abolition of the crime itself:
SECTION 1. Be it therefore enacted by 1/i Senate and Ilouse of
Reiresentatives (fthe State of Georgia in Gencral Assembly met,
That no person shall hereafter be convicted of ally violation
of the laws albresnid, nor he hold liable upon any bond for
his appearance to answer to the charge of any such viola-
tion.
SECTION 2. And be it further enacted by the authority aforo-
said, That all laws anl paris of laws militating against this
act, he and the samie are hereby repealed.
