an appeal in the usual manner, on paying costs and giving
security, in which case said claim for damages shall stand
fbr trial before the Special Jury at the first term after sucb
appeal, upon the same terms, restrictions and liabilities as
apply to and govern other appeal cases, and judgment and
execution shall be rendered and issued accordingly.

AN ACT to prevent the running of all freight trains upon
all Railroads in this State on the Sabbath day.
SEcToN J. Be it enacted by the General Assembly oj the
Statc of) Georgia, That from and after the first day of March
next it shallnot be lawful fhr any company or individual to
run any freight train or any car carrying tireight upon any
]ailroad now existing, or that may hereafter be made, in this
State, on the Sabbath day ; and any conductor or other per-
son so running or assisting in running any train or car car-
rying freight on the Sabbath day, shall each be guilty of a
misdeameanor; and on conviction thereof, earch conductor
shall be fincd in a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars,
and each other person so as aflresaid offending shall be fined
in a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars.
SECTION 2. And be it Juriker enacted by the authority afore-
said, That all laws and parts of' laws militating against this
act, he and the same are hereby repealed.

resentatives o'ihe State of Georgia in General Asstmbly met,
and it is hereby enucted by the authority <f thesame, That
from and al'tcr the passage of this act, that tiny conductor,
fireman, engineer, or other officer or agent on or conducting
or managing any locomotive, tender, car or cars on any
Railroad in this State, who shall allow any slave to enter
and travel on the same, in the absence of the owner, over-
