and immediately after the passage of this act, no person
shall be excluded from testifying as a witness in any of the
courts of law or equity in this State; or deprived of his, her
or their oath or aflirmation, touching any matter or thing
where an oath or affirmation is necessary to secure any
right or interest whatsoever, by reason of any religious
opinion such person or, persons may entertain or express:
Provided, nothing in this act shall prohibit such disabilities
going in evidence to the Jury to afibet the credit of such
witness or witnesses.

AN ACT to amend an act cntitled an act to establish a
tribunal for the trial of slaves within the county of Bryan,
passed twenty-first December, eighteen hundred and
thirty-nine.
SECTION 1. Be i enacted by the Senate and Ifouse of Repre-
sentativel of the State of Georgia in General Assembly met,
and i is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That from
and immediately after the passage of this act, so much of
the act afbresaid fbr the trial of slaves in the county of Bry-
an, which requires the fracholders to be slaveholders, be,
and the same is hereby repealed.
