hereby repealed.

and it herenb, enared by the authority of the same, Thait liom
and after the passag e of this act, the Coil)missio/iers of the
said village of Hutickcrsville, in oflice under the provisions
4,f the above recited act, sal l have poweI to levy anid collect
a tIx upon the personis an/d property of persons residing
iithin the corporate iinits of snid village, for the purpose
of iproviig the si rets and walks of said village, or for
other purposues contihicive to the helth and conveniieice of
the people of sidl vihlbge: Prorlded, the said tax shal not
exceed thic sum of thirtv-oie antd a quarter ceits on the
hundred dollars worth of' the real estate and stock in Irade
in said villige, nor above the sum of twenty-hive tents fr
each slave resident in the samne, and the sum of' one dollar
for each whit male resident therein, above the age of twenty
one years.
