AN ACT to repeal so much of an act, entitled an act to
regulate slaves and free persons of colour in the towns of
Clinton and Macon, as relates to the town of lacon.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representaties
of the State of Georgia in General Assembly me and it is
hereby enacted by the aulhority of I/c same, That so much
of the act entitled an act to regu late slaves and free persons
of colour in the towns of Clinton and Macon, assented to
twenty-second December ei'gteen hundred and twenty-nine,
as relates to the town of Macon, 1,, and the same is hereby
repealed.

AN ACT to authorise the Sherilf of Jefferson county to
sell a runaway slave, to apply the proceeds of said sale-
and to authorise the sale of all runaway slaves after they
have been confined and advert ised twelve months ; and to
prescribe the time and place of advertising runaway
slaves.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
tives of the State of Georgia in General Assembly met, and
it is hereby enacted by the authorit', of the same, That from and
immediately after the passage of this act, it shall be the da-
ty of the Sheritrof the county of Jefferson to advertise for
sale on the first Tuesday of the month a certain slave that
has been confined in the Jail of that county for twelve months,
first giving thirty days notice of such sale in one of the pub-
