A  AeT to aitzr the second section of the act to amend
the act of seventcen hundred and seventy, passed Decen-
ter tenth, cighteen hundred and three, so fr as relates to
the city of Augusta.
Be it enacted iby the Senate and ITkuse of Representatives of
of the Stale of Georgia, in General Assembly met, and it is
hereby enacted by t/e autho, ity qf the same, That fron and
after the passage of this nct, so much of the aboie recited
act as allows, or niny he conitrued to allow, any owner or
owners, of any slave or slaves, within the city of Augusta to
permit his, her or their slive oz slaves, for a consideration,
or otherwise, to have, hold, or enjoy the privilege of Ihhour-
ing, or otherwise transacting business for him, her, or themu-
solves, either upon the premises of said owner or owners, or
elsewhere in said city, he, and the same is hereby repealed
any law or ordinance Io the contrary notwithstanding.
