ROADS.
AN ACT to provide for the improvement of the Roads and
Rivers in this State.
1ie it enacted by the Senate and 1House (f Rlepresentatives of
the State of Georgia in General Assenly met, and it is hertcby
enacted by the authority (j the samn, That so soon ifter the
passage of this act, as circumstances amy require, it shall be
the duty of his Excellency the Governor, to appoint two fit
and proper persons to surinitend the improvement of tho
public roads and the rivers of this State, who shall be re-
moveable from oflico at the pleasure of the Governor, who
in case of such removal may appoint others in their stead.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid,
That tho sum of fifty thousand dollars, including the twenty
thousand dollars heretoforc ;ppoprinted for the improvement
of the Savannah river above Augusta, be, & the same is hereby
appropriated, out of any faids in the Treasury not otlierwic
plodged,to& for tho purchascofsuchia numberofablebodiednte-
