the style and ime before recited, to suefor aid recover
all such smni or Sums of money as now are or that 1ay

rigits and privile-es of said company to (defendI in any

take and aIpply any donation or hequest that may be
m1ade to aid fohr the uses and luposs intended by (lie
doner for the benefit and advantage of said association or
com0pany.
§ 3. Jnd be it further enancld, That fhe hmnher of
individuals in the above named incorporated body, Ihill
not exceed (officers included) the unumoher of twenty-five:
Provided however, that nothin in this law shall bv So
consfoned as to entitle the Siid corporationt to hold Ilnds
in its own unnie, or in the name of another to and for the

WHEIEAS by an act passed on the 19th day of De-
sember 1818, it was provided that -' for the encotirage-
ment of those who have used, or shall use their (forts to
suppress the traffic in Africans. by informing against and
seizing the slaves so imported, they shall oni fin1al con-
