AN ACT to authorize the Circuit Courts of this State to change the names of
persons residing therein.
Src'xriw,. 1. Ile it cwcted by the Senate al Mfouse of Repre-
8entatives of the S tate of Iflorida in General Assembly convened,
Circuit, Courts That the Circuit Courts of this State shall have the power and
nasVpor- authority to change the names of persons residing in said State,
VMS.         Ipon a petition filed by such person in any of the Circuits of the
-  State ; that such petition shall state the name of the petitioner,
,   and the name such petitioner desres to take; and the said Court
shall, at the first tern thereofi decree that the petitioner's name
be changed to the name which said petitioner desires, by which
the said petitioner shall ever thereafter be known.
Sx.c. 2. B1e it frther enacted, That all other Acts and ])arts of
Acts in relation to this subject, be and the same are hereby re-
Repeal.      pealed.

(late,.     That the offices of' Sleriff, Tax Assessor and Collector bf the
county of Calhoun, be and they are hereby consolidated 'pid the
Sheriff shiall perl'orin all the duties of said offices, and shallgive a
bond for the faitihfil perfbrianee of the several duties of said
Prorate.     offices; Provided, however, that this Act shall not go into opera-
tion until the term or offie of thie present Tax Assessor and Col.
lector has expired.
