AN ACT for changing the naimes of persons residing in tis State.
S.C''mox 1. Bo it eIw ted by the iSenate and Iouse of
PJ,7re.eftative. qf the Stato o4 'Florida i  General As-
seliibl convened, That any person who may hereafter do-
(01IfC, change sire his or her nane changed, shall file his or her petition
in the Clerk's office of the Circuit Court, and the Clcrk
shall thereupon give at least three imonuths notice in somie
ium-spaper ublished at the Capitol of tlis State ; and the
.ldgu of said Court shall at the first term after said pub-
lieation, it' no good cause be shown to the contrary, pass
an order making the change prayed for in said petition,
and the Clerk shall enter said .Jder on tme minutes of said
Court and shall receive such fees as the Court ina)y allow :
P'rovided, All costs and expenses of said proceeding shall
I) paid by the person applying.
