fin,3 not exceeding ive hundred dollars; Provided, however, thid
aict shall not prevent the crection of any bridge or other works
which shall not obstruct the free navigation of said creek for
boats laden with cotton or other produce, or rafts of timber or
lumber of every description whatsoever.
SEC. 3. lie it further enacted, That this act shall be in full
force from nnd afler its passage.

No 7. AN ACT to cstablish a Superior Court in the County of
Dade in the Southern District of florida.
Sc. 1. Be it enacted by the Governor and Legislative Coun-
cil of the Territory of Florida, that the Judge of the Superior
Court in the Southern District, shall hold a term of the Superior
Court at Indian Key in the County of Dade, on the first Monday
of December in each and every year, until further provision be
made for holding two terms, and he slall appoint a clerk of said
Court who shall keep his office at Indian Key aforesaid, until
the County site be established after which he shall keep his of-
fice there.

No. 8. An Act to Incorporate the Town of St. Marks.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the Govenor and Legislative Coun-
cil of the Territory of Florida, that the firee white inhabitants of
Limits ofeor- that part of the county of Leon comprehended between the Wau-
poration.  culla and St. Marks Rivers, at a line commencing, at a point on
the St. Marks river, half a mile above the junction of that river
with the Wauculla, and running thence westwardly at the dis
aco of haifa mile from the confluence to the point on the
Wauculla, distant also a half mile from the point of confluence,
shall be and they are hereby constituted a body politic and cor-
porate, by the name and style of the Town of St. M5arks, and by
their corporate name, and within their corporate capacily, may
sue and be sued, implead and be impleaded, and do all other acts
as natural persons, and may purchase acid hold real peisonal and
mixed pioperty, or dispose or the same for the benelit of said
Town and may have and use a common seal.
