report the same annually to the Executive, to ho laid before the
Legislative Council : Provide~d, That nothing in this Act shall
be so construed, is to confirm leases that have haretofor been
made by the (brmner Auditor of the Torritory, or the Commis-
sioners of the School Lands.

CHAP. 970. [No. LIX.] An Act for the relief of Paul McCormick ef
Leon County.
Be it enacted by the Governot and Legislative Council of the
Territory of Florian, That Paul McCormick be entitled to re-
ceive Irom the Territorial Treasury, the value of a negro wo-
man named Jane, who was convicted at the last November
Term of the Superior Court for Leon county, and hung under
the laws ofthis Territory lbr murder.
Sec. 2. le it lurther enacted That the amount which the
said Paul McCormick shall be entitled to by the provisions of
this Act, shall be assessed by George T. Ward, Hector W.
Braden, and John Parkhill, who shall certify to the amouat
which shall be audited and paid accordingly : Provided, They
do not award to the said Paul McCormick, a sum exceeding
four hundred 4ollars; and this Act shall be in force from and
after its passage.

Picolata Itail Itoad Company.
Be it enacted by the Governor and Legislative Council of the
Territory of Florida, That a company be hereby incorporated
by the name and style of ti St. Augustine and Picolata Rail
Road Comnpatny, and by that nanmmme il who shall become sub.
seribers and member of said company, their heirs, successors,
or assigns, shll be capable in lav to purchase, receive, retain,
and enjoy, to them and their heirs, successors or assigns, so far
