Be it enacted by the Governor und Legislalive Council of
the I e rt ito  y of Florida 'T hat it shall not be lawful fortany
mtock owner, oi cattle owner, not residiiig within* the limits of
A   dr.'im k. liltfTerritory  of  lorida, to  drive his stock, or  cattle  upon  the
r~~forci an ,t;.la t  within  Ole. 'l'rritorial limits of' the  .ate  foi-' ally  other pur-
pose than that of makin ialo of the same; and- if any such
stoc,. or cnttle o,%ner shall so drive or cause to Ie dIriven any
slotIt, or cattle upon lInds within the limits of of said 'errito-
ry for grazing, or shall Peirmit a' y cattle which have strayed off
ulnd passed the limits of Florida for more thu one month, to re-
nair within the said Terrilory, the slock, or cattle so driven or
rellmiuig with.in the same, shall be forfeited and subject to sale,
UpltOon proof being thereof made bel'ire a justice o the peace or
comnty judge; one half of the proceeds of such sale shall be
for he iubnclit of the itformer, and the other half to the Terri-
tory of Vlorida.
Sec. 2. Be it furtler enacted, That if any Person or persons
shall with intent to avoid the foregoing Provisions of this act
Pictitious sale. make nily eolourable, or fictitious sale of cattle to ally person
within the 'Territory without valuable cousideration, the catt!e
so fraudulently and fictitiously sold, shall, in like manner, be
subject to fortiture.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the Governor and Legislative Coun-
cil of the Territory of Florida, That translators of' the courts
kacc of trans of this Territory shall receive for any instrument of writing of
Mors.       one bundled words or less, twunty-five cents.
For' any instrument of witing, fbr each hundred words twen-
ty-tive celts.
Certifyinir the same, twenty-five cents.
Sec. 2. Be it forrher onneted, That whenever any marshal,
sheriff, or other officer, in tho Territory, shall take any slave, or
Slavews tken slves, by executioi or attachment, it shall be his duty to hire
on Exccution .aid slave, or klaves to the highest bidder, at public outcry with.

taken ii.to his custody, and the proceeds of such hire shall go
to the extinguishment of the debt tor which said property was
