sec. 4. Be it further enacted, That the person in possession
of such demised pretnises, and any person claiming possession
thereof, may at the time appointed in such summons, for show-
ing ('[luse, or before, tlet an afldavit with the justice who issued
the sitninous, denyitm ihe facts upon which the s.id summons
*          was issued, or any of said fiiets; ani the matters therein eontro

Sec. 5. Be it further enacted, rhat if the verdict of the jury
so summoned, shall he in ravr o1t the Iussor landlord, or other
pers,,i, applying f r the popsteesion of said premiso s, the said
justico shall issue hi- warrant to any constable of said county,
comnanding hin to put landlord, lessoy, or other person, into
possessiou of said premises, as *-ereinbelbra directed, which it
shall be hi. duty forthwith to execute.
Distress for  Sec. 6. Boi it further enacted, 'hat no property of any tenant
rents.     or lessee shall be exempt from distress and sale for rent: except
bed, bed clothes, and wearing apparrel.

CiHir 851. [No. xxix.] J! n Act, to repeal a certain Act, and part J
Ant Act, ttherein named.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by t1te Governor and Legislative Coun-
cil of the 'Ferritori of Florida, That the Act, entitled -n Act,
in relation to trudinlg with slaves, passed 5th Feb. 1834, be, and
Act of 1834M
repealled,  the same is hereby repealed, so far as to prevent its operatin in
East and South Florida ; (with tie exception ol Columbia
County) and that it e repealed in the County of Escarnbta in
West 'lorida, and no further: and that the Acts repealed by
that At, be revived in all places in this Territory, where said
Act is not in force.
Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That the sixty second section
Sixty-second of an Act, entitled an Act, relating to crimes and misdemeanors
sect. repealled committed by slaves, free negroes, and mulattoes, be, and the
saute is hereby repealled.
Passed February 7th, 1835.
Approved February 14th, 1835.
