No. 87. An ACT concerning Attachments.
13e it enacted by the Governor and Legislative Council of the
Territory of Florida, That if any suit which bath been, or shall Attachlnuent
be hereatler commenced for relief in equity, in any court, against against absent

of, or being otherwise indebted to' such absent defendant or de-
fendants, or against any such absent Terfeidut or defendants,

anco of such absentees be not entered and security given to the
satis-faction of the court, for performing the decrees, upon affi-
davit that such defendant or defendrnts are out of the Territory,
or that iipon enquiry at his, her, or their usual place of abode,
he, she or they could not be fuund, so as to be served with pro.
cess, in all such cases such court may make any order, and re-
quire surety, if it shall nppear necessary, to restrain the defen-
dants in this Territory fromn paying or conveying away, or seele-
ting the debts by hem owing to, or the effects intheir hands, of'
such absent defendant or defendants ; and for thIat purpose may
order such debts to be paid, and effects to be delivered up to the
said plaintiff or plaintiffs, upon their giving sufficient security for
the return thereof, to such person and in such manner as the
court shall direct.
See. 2. Be it further enacted, That the court shall also np- Order for apo

posted at the front door of such court house. If such absent
