tify them of such appointment, and the said inspectors
shall give public notice, by posting at the market, of
the time and place of such election.
Sec. 18. Be it further enacted, That if by reason of
the refusal, abst-nce or othtr unavoidable .asualy, the
layor elect shall be prevented from performing the or-
ganizing duties by this act required, it shall in such case
be the duty of the Mayor in-office to cause a new elec-
tion to he held bly the some inspt'ctors, who shall forth-
with give at least one week's notice of the same, antd
hold another election conformably to this regulation.
See 19. Be it further enacted, That Charles Seton,
Domingo Acosta, and Fratncisco Ponce be and they
are hereby appointed inspectors to superintend the
election for Mayor and Aldermen for the said city on
the first Monday in April next, and they or any two
of them may do the duties of superintending required,
and in the event of the occurrence of any of' Ihe cusu-
alties contemplated by this act to prevent the orgtint-
zation oflthe said, city council they or any two ofthen
are hereby authorised to hold a re-election.

Be it enacted'by the Governor and' Legislative Coun.
cil of the- Territory of Florida,. That all tle acts
passed at the first session of the Legislative Council
in the year eighteen hundred and twenty two, and at
the second session thereof in. the yeai. eighteen hundred
and twenty three be and the same are hereby repealed,
excepting nevertheless the acts and parts of acts here-
in designated, viz.
An act to regulate descen ts approved 12th August
eighteen hundred and twcnly two.
