S~c'no   1. Be it enacted by the Senate and H11ouse of Represen.
tatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly giet, That
any free negro or mulatto residing or being in this State, wh6 ^,'nj
shall be imprisoned for any debt or obligation created or entered nmrisonem
iito within said State, after the first day of July next, shall be ,opetora
allowed ten days from the date of such imprisonment, within.0 ;tCr
which to arrange with his or her creditor or creditors, for the tt ty or
liquidation and payment of his or her indebtedness for which he IiIVe
or she has been so imprisoned, together with such other debts    2 io
