CHAPTER CCCXLV.
AN ACT to enable Ezekiel Timmons of E. to locate certain vacant
land situate in Broad Creek Hundred, Sussex County, and to
complete his title to the same.

CHAPTER CCCXLVI.
AN ACT to amend the act entitled An act providing for the
Dig. p. 127.    punishment of certain crimes and misdemeanors.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represen-
tatives of the State of Delaw are in General Assembly met, That if
Kidnapping. any person or persons shall hereafter kidnap and carry away any
free negro or free mulatto from this State into any other State or
country, or shall aid or assist any person or persons in kidnapping
and carrying away any free negro or free mulatto from this State
into any other State or country, or if any person or persons shal
take and imprison any free negro or free mulatto with intent to
kidnap and carry away such free negro or free mulatto from this State
into any other State or country, or shall aid or assist any person or
persons in taking and imprisoning any free negro or free mulatto
with intent to kidnap and carry away such free negro or free mu-
latto from this State into any other State or country, or if any
person or persons shall fraudulently seduce and decoy any free
negro or free mulatto from this State into any other State or coun-
try, with intent that such free negro or free mulatto shall be sold
or disposed of or held as a slave or servant, every person so of-
fending shall be deemed guilty of felony, and upon conviction
thereof shall forfeit and pay to the State a fine of not less than one
