charactor of the alleged offences, the results of the trials,

gestions, tending to the suppression of crime, as he
may (em proper.
Si.c. 3. Be it further enacted, That the annual salary
compensation. of the Attorney General shall be.two thousand dollars,
payable (Iarterly.
,Sic. 4. Be it further enacted, That all other laws, or
parts of laws, in any wise relating to the office or duties
Repeals.  of the Attorney General, are hereby repealed.

To provide for taking the census of the State of Ala-
bania for the year 1806, as ordered by ordinance of
the Convention of 1865.
SECTON 1. B   it enact d by th- Senat, and Ilous- of
PRpresentatives of th- State of Alabama in General Assem-
bly concaed, That the courts of county commissioners,
connly corm- in the several counties in this State be, and they are an-
MIpint fnssthorizd and required, previous to the first day of April
takers.    ne\t, to appoint in each of the counties of the State, one
fit pcrson to take the census, or enumeration of the in-
uabiutauuts of the respective counties, for the y-ar 1S66,
and tihe person so appointed shall take and subscribe the
following oath, viz.: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that
I will faithfiuly take the census, and correctly cnu--
merate the inhabitants of -    county, according to the
Oath.    true intent and meaning of the act, to provide for the
takingr the census of the Stite of Alabama, for the year
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, approved the
21st day of February, 1 S66, sd help me God ; which oath
shall le filed in the office of the clerk of the circuit
court of the proper county.
