SEc. 19. Be it further .enacted, That the Mayor and
caoh alderman, before entering upon the duties of their
Oat,     office, shall make and subscribe the following oath, viz.:
 That I, A. B., will faitbfully, to the best of my skill and
judgment, perform the duties required of me as mayor
and alderman, without favor or partiality, which oath
shall be filed in the office of the -secretary of the board.
SEc. 20. Be itfurtker enacted, That all laws and parts
of laws which iway contravene any of the provisions of
Present mayor this act, shall be and the same are hereby repealed, and
and aldermen that this act shall take effeot from and after its passage;

Tuscumbia. shall be mayor and aldermen of the City of
Tuscumbia, under this act, until the next annual election
on the first Monday in April, 1S66, and that all acts here-
tofore done by them for the government of said town of
Tuscumbia, not inconsistent with the-Constitution of the
United States and of the State of Alabama, are herehy
-declared valid.

To incorporate the Perry Insurance and Trust Company.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Representatives of the State of Alabama, in General Assem-
bly convened, That there shall be established in the town.
of Marion, the county of Perry, a company to be called
and known by the name and style of The Perry insur-
ntle. a ance and Trust company, and that thesame be invested
with powers and authority to make general insurance
upon houses, stables, machinery, corn, cotton, and other
produce, upon lives and health, both of white and colored
Timurance, persons, upon stock of every description, upon vessels,
pon bXL  boats, freight, money, goods, wares, and merchandize,
and other species of property, against loss in any manner
by fire, dangers of the sea, rivers, or otherwise, at such
nates or  rate of premium as such company may agree to; and to

company; and also, the said company is empowered and
