To amend the charter of the city of Montgomery.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the State of Alabama in General Assembly
convened, That in addition to the powers heretofore
Pon ogs granted by the charter of the city of Montgomery, the
company. City Council of Montgormery are hereby empowered to
levy and collect a tax not exceeding one-half of one
per cent. on the value of the service pipe of the Mont-
gornery Gas Light Company laid in the streets of' said
Taxonexclange city, and a tax not exceeding fifty dollars upon the busi-

ness of all persons engaged in buying and selling ex-

and the heads and ears of all hogs slaughtered within

To amend the Charters of the towns of Marion, in
Perry county, and Montevallo, in Shelby county.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Rep-
resentatives of the State of Alabama in General Assembly
