No. 371.]             AN ACT
To regulate the fees of Constables in the Beat and Town
of Cahaba, in Dallas County.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the %-nate and House of Represent-
atives of the State of Alabama in General Asserbly convened,
That from and after the passage of this act, tthat Consta-
bles in the beat and town of Cababa shall be allowed
to collect the following fees:
For Serving summons in civil cases.......$1 00
For Serving summons on each witness....  50
For Levying attachmont................ 1 00
For Levying execution.................. 1 00
For Makintz money on each execution..... 1 00
and 5 per cent. on amount collected.
For Carrying a debtor to jiil............. 1 00
For Whipping slave by order of J. P., to be
paid  by  owner....................  1  00
For Serving notice on each person therein
named..........................    50
For Scire faci's or notice in nature thereof 1 09
For Taking bil bond for forthcoming of
property or other bond required by
law............. .......... 1 00
SEc. 2. Be it futher enacted, That all laws and parts
of laws contrnvening the provisions of this act, be, and the
same are hereby repealed, so far as they relate to the beat
and town of Cahaba, in Dillas county.

To amend the Mechanics' Lien Law of Dallas, Pike and
Coosa counties.
Sc. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House nf Represent-
ativms ofthe State of Alabama in General Assemby coivened,
That every dwelling honse or other building liereafter to be
constructed and erected in the State of Alabama, with the
rieht, title and interest of the person or perswns owning or
claiming such dwelling or odher building, either in Iaw or
equity, whether present, con-ingent or in expectancy, to-
getier with the tract of land or plantation on which said
