Book. rar piub.  Sec.*. He it further enacted, That said company shall
twription..  be authorised and required to open books for the subscrip-
tion of stock in the capital of said corporation in the State
of Alabama, so as to afford the citizens thereof an opportu-
nity to take stock to the amount of one hundred thousand
dollars on the line of said road to Huntsville, and one hun-
dred and fifty thousand dollars oin the line of said road to
the Tennessec river: Provided, That if said sums be not
subscribed in Alabama within sixty days after the books
are opened, Ihon it may be takeni elsewhere.
A ht 0to ck  SEc. 3. Be it further enacted, 'Tlhat the stockholders in
boders.  this state shall be represented in the board of directors of
said company by not less than five directors.
SEc. 4. Be it further enacted. iliat the moneys sub-
mone jnro scribed by the citizens of Alabama, whether by the state,
InthIs itat. counties, corporations or individils, shall be applied to
the construction of the road within the lhnii:s of the state.
May crossothIer -SEc. 5. And be it further enacted, That said company
roadjnndunioshall have the privilege of running said road across the
track of the Memphis and Charleston rail road, arid that tuy
railroad comipany now or heronfer to be chartered in this
state shall have (lie right to unite. their road with the road
anthorised by this act.
