Making appropriations for the payment of certain claims.
against the State.
Section 1. Be it enactedby the Senate and House of Represen.
tatives oJ the State of Alabama in General Assebny convened,
That the several suns of money hereinafter mentioned, be,
and the same are hereby appropriated to the several persons
tisto slier. respectively, hereinafter named, that is to say:
il Janilvr ,  To Clarke Hobo, jailer of Franklin county, the sum of one
4-c. & C.  hundred and eighty eight dollars ind forty cents, for feeding
prisoners confined in the jail of said county:
To John L. Thompson, jailer of Lowndes county, the sum
of three hundred and twelve dollars, for feeding prisoners
confined in the jail of said county:
To John H1. Elliott, of Limestone county. the sum of fifty-
four dollars and fifty cents, for arresting and bringing to jus-
tice, Elisla Lindsay, charged with horse stealing
To A. I. Iandly, sheriaf of Marion county, the sum of one
dollar and twenty cents, for feeding prisoner confined in the
jail of said county:
To A. Lynch, of Tuscaloosa county, for repairs, &c., at the
State House during the present session, the sum of four dol.

To Austin Murphee, sheriff of Blount county, the sum of
twelve dollars, for making Congressional return from said
county, in eighteen hundred and frly. five:
To Robert J. White, jailer of Barbour county, the stum of
one hundred and forty-eight dollars and forty cents, for feed-
ing prisoners confined in the jail of said county :
To W. P. Spink, sheriff of Washington county, the sum
of twelve dollars, for making Congressional return from said
county in eighteen hundred and forty-five :
To William C. M. Alluan, sheriff of Marion countfy, the
sun of fifteen dollars and twenty-five cents, for making Con-
gressional return from said county, in eighteen hundred and
forty-five:
To S. S. Adais, deputy sheriff of Marion county, the sum
of seventeen dollars and seventy-five cents, for removing a
State's prisoner from Franklin county to Marion county, by
order of Court:
To Thomas ). Garrett, Solicitor of the Ninth Judicial Cir-
cuit, the sum of ten dollars, for prosecuting to conviction a
slave for a capital offence :
To A. R. Thomas, the sum of eighty-tvo dollars and twenty-
five cents, for servant hire foi sixty-six days service at the
present session of eighteen hundred and forty-five and six:
