[No. 143.1             AN ACT
To authorize the election of a Justice of the Peace in the
Town of Warrenton.
Section 1. Be it enncred by the Senate and Honic of lrpresen-
tatives of' the State of Alabama in General Assenhily convened,
That it shall he lawful for the qualified electors residing, or who
Town Jus- hereafter may be resident within the corporate limits of the
'Ice mayfl) be Town (f Warrenton,in Dallas county, at the next general dec-
Ieemj    tion for Justices of the Peace, and as often thereafter as a va-
cancy inay occur, to elect a Justice of the Peace, who shall
hold his office for the same teni, and have the same power
and authority, and perfoun the same diutics, and be subject to
tle same laws, regulations and penalties, as other Justices of
this State.
Sec. 2. And be ij rther enacted, That said Justice shall
Jurikdiciion. have jurisdiction in the same manner and to the same extent,
as other .1istices of the same heat, and shall also give bond asis1
now requited by law.

Section 1. le it enacted by the Senate and House of Rep-
resen titives of the State of Alabama in (nertal A8sembly
convcened, That hereafter the Justices of the Peace, in their re-
spective beats in the counties of Randolph, 'I'uscaloosa, aRid
She patrola Butler, be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
,aidie,   organize mid order out patrol detactunents, only wheni in their
opinion, the same may be necessary, or when required so to do
by any resident citien of their respective heat, and no other
patrol duty shall be requir ed by law in said counties, any liw
to the contrary nativitlistanding: P1rovided, 'Ihe said Justices
shall, in no instance, order the performance of more patrol du-
ty than ii now required by law.
Sce. 2. Jid be it further encu'led, That the third aid
sixth sections of an act, approved the first day of January,
ea ~    one thonsand eight hundred and thirty-six, entitled an act to
regulate patrol detacinients, and enforce the performance of
patrol duty in this State, be, and the same are hereby repealed
so far as relates to the countics of Randolph, Tuscaloosa, aiid
Butler.
