seventy dollars for fifty-four days services; to Charles S. Lucas,
the sum of two hundred and twenty dollars for forty-four days
services ; to Robert Ashurst, the sum of two hundred and thirty
dollars for forty-six days services; to Jeremiah M. Frione, the suin
of two hundred and eighty-five dollars for fifty-seven days servi-
ces ; to Thomas J. Vickers, the sum of two hiundred and sixty dol-
lars for sixty-three days services; and to Elijah C. Wallace, tho
sum of ono hundred and fifty dollars for thirty-one days ser-
vices, all as Directors of the Branch of the Bank of the State of
Alabama, at Montgomery; to be paid out of the funds of said
Bank by the cashier thereof, who shall take the proper vouchers
therefor from the persons so paid.
Sec. 2. .Ind be itfurther enacted, That the compensation al-

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House qf/Relnesen-
tatives of the State of .dlabama, in General .Issembly convened,
That the following sums of money be, and the same are hereby
Appropria. appropriated out of any money in the Treasury, not otherwise ap-
tion for State propriated, to be paid to the following persons, ill paynlet of their
onficer.9, &C. salaries, for the year one thousand eight hundred and forty-one, to
wit: to the Governor of the State, the sum of three thousand five
hundred dollars; the Secretary of State, Comptroller of Public
Accounts, the State Treasurer, each, the sumn of twelve hundred
dollars; the two Chancellors, each, the sum of two thoousand dol-
lars; to the Judges of the Supreme Court, each, the sumn of twen-
ty-six hundred dollars; to the Judges of the Circuit Court, eacl,
the sum of two thousand dollars, except the Judge of the Fifth
Judicial Circuit, and to him, the sum of fifteen liundred dollars;
to the Attorney General, the slum of four hundred and twenty-five
dollars; to the Solicitors of the several Circuits, each, the stunt of
two hundred and fifty dollars; to the Quarter-Master-General, the
