To provide for the Payment of Certain Claims against the State.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represen-
latives of the State of dlabama, in General assembly convened,
That the following sums of money be, and the same are hereby
appropriated, to be paid out of the public treasury, out of any
money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to wit: to the itnte of A
legal representatives of Alston II. Carpenter, five hundred dollars, at oroentr
the halft value of a negro man slave, executed in the county of
