No. 28.1                  AN ACT
For the relief of D. C. Smith, executor of the lIst will and testament of William
IIobhb deconsed.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Re-
presentatives of the State of .19labama in General Assembly
convened, That Ducan C. Smith, executor of the last will and

for lave na- thorized to receive out of the fund appropriated for that pur-

negro man slave man named Jack or Freno, belonging to the
estate of the said Hobbs, which said slave was condemned and
executed by the verdict of a Jury, and sentence of the Judge
of the County Court of Wilcox county, convened according to
law for the trial of slaves charged with capital offences.
Sce. I. And be it further enacted, That the comptroller
of public accounts he, and he is hereby authorized and required
Comptroller to draw his warrant on the State Treasurer, whose duty it shall
to issue war-
rant.      he to pay the said sum of three hundred dollars, out of any mo-
ney in the Treasury belonging to the fund herein before speci-
fied, not otherwise appropriated by law.

[No. 20.]               AN ACT
To repeal nn net therein mentioned.
Section 1. Be it enacted/by the Senate and House of Re-
presentatives of the State of .Alabama in General .dssembly
convened, That an act entitled an act to authorize the Judge of
the Couty Court of Franklin county, and Commissioners of
Roads and Revenue, to designate the boundary and hands for
each overseer, approved, January 10th, 1833, be, and the same
is hereby repealed.        Approvod, December 30, 1834.
[No. 30]                 AN ACT
To change the name of, and to legitimate Preston Newberry.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Re-
presentatives of the State of ./llabama in General./ssembly
convened, That the name of Preston Newberry be, and it is
Name-     hereby changed to the name of Preston Moore.
Msde capable  Sec. 2. .And be it further enacted, That the said Preston
in law to in. Moore, by that name, be, and he is hereby made capable, in law
hert, . of inheriting real and personal estate, as heir of John Moore of
Lawrence county, in the same manner as if lie had been born
in lawful wedlock and heir of said JohnMoore.
