uenry I'sar That Henry Taylor, of Wilcox county, be, and hie. is herby
ancrizent  atithorized to emancipate, and wholly set free from slavern a
certain slave. certain mulatto man slave named .1im: Provided, that the
said Tavlor shall enter into bond with good ,vcutity, to be
approved of by the judge of the County Court of said coun-
tv, in the sum of fi,.c hund: ed dillars, conditioned that the
said Jim shall never become chargeable to any county, city or
town within this State.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and lo'.se ofRepresen-
Iatives oft/Ih State of Alabama in General Assembl convened,
That the treasurer of this State be, and he is hereby author-
ized and required to pay unto William Jackson, of the county
of Pickens, the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars, out of
any nuoneys in the treasure not otherwise appropriated, set
apart as a special fund for the payment of slaves executed
agreeably to law.               Apptoved, .Inuary 10, 1831.
