Authorizing the liberation of certain Slaves.
Se'tini 1. Be it enacted by th, Senate and H1oe of RepreseN..

to enanel slaves. viZ. Sally, Robert, Fl- ira A nn Maria, Mr A n

slaves    and Julia, saving howevet, the right of creditors, and on
the express conditiin, that the said William 13ryant shall
'ro enter  prievious to the commencement of this act, enter into bold
into bond  wvith good and sulficient security to he appi o% ed of by the,
Judge of the county court of rticuloosa countv, paya)ble to
the Governor and his successors in office, in the sun of
fifteen hundred dollars, conditioned that the sla% es by this
act liberated shall never become a charge to any comnty,

other'  e hereby authorized and empowered to manumit and set free
snancipated certainslaves,to wit  his wife Lucinda and child Jackson,
also William, the son of his wife,when he shall have attain-
ed the age of twvnty.cight years, the property of tle said
Solomon Perteet; reserving however to creditors all their
just rights.
Sec. 2. And be itfurther enarted, That Zadock Love, a
Jsrgaret & free man of colour, be, and he is hereby authorized and
Others  e. empowered to manumit and set free cei tain slaves. to wit:
anancipated his wife Margaret, and his three children Mary, F, elina
and James; also his wife's daughter Serena, when she shall
hat e arrived at the age of twenty-eight yeats, or at the
death of the said Zadock Love if he should sooner die
reserving however to cieditors all their just rights.
Sec. 3. And be it firther enacted, 'Thit hefor% this act
shall take effect in any respect, the aforesaid Solomon
