Whereas it has beeu represented to this ueneral Assembly lly
the memorial of a large numnber of respectable inhabitants of
Baldwin couity that the eniancipatini of Cyrus (Son and slave
of China Evans a free woman of color,) and inhabitant and
creole of said county, is the only one of a large family now
held in bondage, and is an honest, industrious and well dispo-
sed person. and that his emancipation will not tend to the
injury of society, but will greatly coitibuth to the welfare o'
the individual kimuself, Therefore,
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and lfousi' of Pflprsentat
t'Oves of the State of Alabana, in General Assembly convened,
That the negro man namsd Cyruo, belonging to China Evaniv
of Baldwin county, be, and lie is hereby emancipated, and for-
Cats nn ever freed from slavery and bondage, saving howeveir the

to alict  rights ofereditors, and on the express 4 ondition that the said
creditors.  China Evans enter into bond with security to bespproved by
the Judge of the county court of Baldwin cunity in the peual
sum of one thousand dollars andi made payable to the tovern-
or for the time being and his successors in oflice, to be filed
in the oflice of the Clerk of said county court, conditioned that
erPc  to bp the said negro man Cyrus shall not become a public charge to.
g:ven. - the State, or to any County, City or Town the reof.

roney,named ed, That the name of Emily Meroney the intural child of
changed to Benjamin Frost, be hereafter known and called by the nmine
Vrost, and of Emily Frost, and that said child be legitimated: and that
legitimted. she be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the legiti-
invte children of the said Lecnjamin Frost.

Tened, That in conrvmity with the decision and decree of
the Circuit court of Pike county. exercising Chtancery ju-
risdiction, the honds of matrimnony heretofore solelmivi.ed and
subsisting between Abrahaun Danner and Anne Danier, he,
and the same are hereby annulled, and mnade void, and that the
said Abraham Danner, be hencelorth divorced from the said
Anne Danner.
