rtience- SEc. 1. Be it enateai by the Senate and IHouse'of Represen-
tuancipated. tatlives of the State Of .01abama, in General .Issembly convened,
That Mahala Farrer be and she is herehy authorised and em-
powered to emancipate and forever free from slavery and hon.
dage a mulatto woman slave, named Patience, saving, hower.
Rights of or the rights of creditors, and on the express condition that
creditors not the said Mahala Farrer enter into bond with secinity, in the
~fectd,  penal sum of five hundred dollars. to be approved'ly the Judge
of the county court of Lauderdale county, made payable to
the Governor of this State for the time being, and his succes-
B3ondtobe sors in o<lice, to be fled in the oilice of the Clerkof the county
en.      court, conditioned that the said slave named Patience, salial
not become a public charge to the state, or to any county, city
Provio.  or- town therein. Prrvided, the said- slave Patience shalk
within six months after the passage of this'act move beyold
the liits of this State; and shall not return to reside therem.

AN ACT to amend in part, and repeal in part an act to estib-,
lish the Town of Whitesburg and incorporate its Trustees.
Skc. 1. 8I it enacted by the Senate and House of Represrtt-
atives of the State of .Illabae in General Ossenibly cowvened,
That hereafter the following shall be the boundari es to the
Corporate corporate limits of the town of Whitesburg in Madison coun-
3inits. ty, to wit, beginning as heretofore at the junction of Aldridges
Creek with the Tennessee River. and running thence up the
said River four hundred yards, thence directly north sixteen
htindred yards, thence- directly west nine hundi-cd yards,
thence a direct south line, one.thousand yards, to the River
and theiice up the River to the beginning.

residentt within the limits of the corporation of'the Town of
