Satc. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and Boiise of Represent-
atives of the  atWe of aaiana in General- Assenibly convened,
Thfat the ihabitnits of the town of Courtlaid by the naie
noprtd of the President and truestees of the toNn of Courtlasid be and
they are hereby constituted a body politic and corpoi-ate, and
by that name shall sue and be sued, grant receive and do all
other acts as natural persons and may purchase and hold pro-
perty real and personal, and dispose of the stime for the bei-
efit of said incorporation, and shall have a seal which may
be altered at pleanure.
SEC. 2. Jand be it further enacted, That the boundaries of

be established in conformity with the plan of the lots laid out
by the Cou-tland company and Whitaker and Cox's addition
to said town.
SEc. 3. -And be it further enacted, That the corporation or

and if any two or more shall receive an equal number of
votes it shall be the duty of the Sheriff in office to declare
which of said persons is elected and to give the person so
elected a certificate of the same, and the trustees so elected
