Sec. 2. And be it jhirther enacted, That so much of the
provisions of the it.ove recited act, as contravene the pro-
visions of this act be, and the same is hereby repealed.

AN ACT        -
To alter the place of, selling Lands and Negroes by the Sheriff of Iiibb
County, in certain cases.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senatf and Iouse of Rrwesen-
thrives of the state of Alabama in General A.4enbly convened,
That hereafter, it shall be the duty of the sheriff of Bibb
county, to sell such lands and negroed as he may levy on,
on the west side of Cabawba river, at the town of Centre-
ville.
Sec. 2.. qnd be it further enacted, That the constables
in and for the county of Bibb, 'shall be regulated in their
sales by the provisions of the first section of this act.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That all acts ana parts
of acts contravening the provisions of this act, be, and the
same is hereby repealed.

AN ACT
A&uthorising the location and sale of certain quarter bections of Land,
granted by Congress to the several counties of this state, for Sents of
justice.
Whereas the Congress of the United States, did at the
last session thereof, pass an act granting to the several
counties or parishes of each state and territory where thcrb
are public lands, at the minimum price for which public
lands of the United States are sold, the right of pre-emption
to one quarter sectioh of *land in each of the counties or
parishes of said states and territories, in trust for,said coun-
ties or parishes respectiely, for the establishment of seaes
'Preamble. of justice therein, upon condition, that the proceeds of the
sale of each of said quarter sections should be appropriated
for the purpose of erecting public buildings in the county
or parish for which it is located, after deducting therefrom
the amount originally paid for the same, and upon further
condition, that the seat of justice for said counties or par-
ishes, respectively, should be fixed previously to a sale of
the adjoining lands within the county or parish for which
the same is located :
Section 1. Be it eneted by the Senate and House of Rep-
resentatives ofthe State of Alabama, in General Assembly con.
