AN ACT
'o authorize Maria Evans and Lewis Tilman, to snancipate certain
slaves therein named.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Re.
presentatives of the State of Alabama, in General Assemlbly
convened, That Maria Evans of the county of Madison, be,
and she is hereby authorized, to emancipate a certain ne-
gro man slave named Richard Evans, aged about twenty
seven years, so soon as said Maria Evans shall have exeout-
ed to the Judge of the county court of Madison, and his
successors in office, a bond with sufficient security, to be
approved by said Judge, conditioned that the said Richard
Evans shall never become chargeable to the State of Ala.

Sec. 2. .4nd be it further enacted, That Lewis Tilman
of the county of Limestone be, and hp is hereby, authoriz*
ed, to emancipate his slave Jack, so soon as the said Lewis
Tilman shall hav - executed to the Judge of th6 county
court of Limestone, and his successors in oflice, a bond
with sutlicient security, to be approved by siid* Judge,
conditioned that no creditor shall sustain any loss by re-..Ion
,.f said emancipation, that the said slave Jack shall never be.
come chargeable to the State of Alabama, or any county or
town within the same.      (Approved, Nov. 19, 1821.)
AN ACT
To divorce Sarah M. Bracken from her husband James A. Bracken, in
pursuance of the decree of the Circuit Court of Franklin county, ex.
ercising Chancery Jurisdiction.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of lRepre-
sentatives of the State of Alabama in General Assembly convened,
That the bands of Matrimony heretofore existing. between
Sarah M. Bracken and James A. Bracken be, and the same,
is hereby, disolved, and the said Sarah M. Bracken shall
be enttled to all the rights and privileges qf a feme soler in
pursuance of the decree of the Circuit Court of Franklin
county, exercising Chancery Jurisdiction.

AN ACT For the relief of William Walton.
Section I. 11e it enocted by the Senate and House of Repre.
sentatives of the State of Alabama, in General Assembly conveiled,
That the Sherilf of Clarke county, be, and he is hereby,
required -to suspend the collection of an execution issuing
from the Circuit Court of said county, at April term, one
thousand eight hundred and twenty-one, against William
Walton, one of the securities in the case of the State of
Alabama against Jacob J. Todd.
Sec. 2. dad be it further enacted, That the said Wil-
liam Walton be, andi he is hereby exempted, and forever
discharged from the paynent of the said judgment.
