SECTION 1. BE it enacted bU the Senate and House of
Representatives of the State nfAlabama, in General assembly
Ofv. may em- conrened, That the Governor be, and h is hereby author-
a!OY p P    ized to employ one or more persons to examine nid report
land.     to him, the quality and value of the lands in such parts of
this State, which have not yet been sold, as ie may desig-
nate.
loo dollars ap- Sec. 2. And be it farther enacted, That a sum not exceed,

priated for that purpose, to be paid out of any monies in
the treasury, not otherwise appropriated.
Sec. S. And be it further enacted, That the person or

owing oath, to be administered by iny justice of the peace:

sentatives of the State of Alabama, in General .ssenbly con-

and misdemeanors of a higher grade than petit larceny,
