Johnson shall, on or before that time, enter into hand to
the chairmin or chief justice of Madison county, in the
sum or live hundred dollars: conditioned, that the said
Martis, so liberated, shall not become chargeable to the
public.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and Roue of Rep.
resentatives of the State of. Alabamga, in Gnwal Assemby
eonvened, That Cesar Kennedy, a free man of colour, of
the town of Huntsville, and county of Madison, be, and he
is hereby authorized to manumit and set free his Wife Ian-
nah, and her seven children. Maria, John, Mary-Ann,
William, Cesar, Resasell, and Thomas, so snon as the s.id
Cesar Kennedy shall have executed to the chief justice or
chairmah of the county court of Madison county, and his
successors in office, a bond with suffcient security, to be
approved by said court. conditioned, that the said alaves,
Hannah and her seven children, Maria, John, Mary-Ann,
William, Cesar, Rossell. and Thomas, shall never become
chargeable to the State of Alabama, or any county or town
therein.
