REPoRT of a DiscussioN, on a resolution before the AmER-
   WCAN BAPTIST AXTI-SLAVERY CONVENTION, held in the
   Trermont and Marlboro' Chapels, Boston, Wednesday,
   Thursday and Friday, MAay 26, 27 and 28, 1841, be-
   tween Elds. Nathaniel Colver, Pastor of the First Bap-
   tist Free Church, Boston, and Jonathan Davis, Pastor
   of the Bethel Baptist Curk, Georgia.
Edd. Davis' speech, reported by Eld. CHARLES W. DENISON, one of the
                Secretaries of the Convention.

                          Wednesday, A. M. May 26.
   The Convention met in Tremont Chapel. The Presi-
dent, Eld. Elon Galusha, of New York, in the chair.
Prayer was offered by E1d. Abial Fisher, of Massachu-
setts, and Edwin R. Warren, of Maine.
   After hearing the report of the proceedings of the Con-
vention, at New York, and arranging other preparatory
business, on motion of Eld. Fisher, of Mass., seconded by
several members, the following resolution was unanimous
ly adopted:
  Resolved-That all christian brethren present be invited to
sit and take part :n our deliberations, although they may not be
agreed with us in the objects of this body.
