Necessity for filing report of presumed abandoned property where no such property is
being held 4/1/69 to State Treasurer Frank Davis
To the extent of the material submitted, there does not appear to be any substantial
danger of a conflict between the New York and Vermont abandoned property laws.

sary for the State to show that an owner of intangible personal property known to be sui

7 years before abandonment of the property can be presumed. There isa legal presumption
that the owner's competency continues; the burden therefore is on the fiduciary holding I
