My dear Governor:
In re your query of the 6th concerning what of
your appointments must be confirmed by the senate:
An examination of some carefulness of the
Civil Code discloses that the following named appoint-
ments should be confirmed by the senate:
Superintendent and resident physician
of the State Asylum.
Members of the Board of Regents of<
the State University.
Members of the Board of Curators.
-State Engineer.
1State Inspector of Weights and Measures.
ltate Examiner.
State Historian.
Members of the Commission for the pro-
motion of uniformity of legislation
in the United States.
-4embers of the Sheep Sanitary Commission.
-Superintendent of Publio Health.
-State Veterinarian.
Superintendent of Banks.
Superintendent of State Prison.
Members of Arizona Board of Resources.
Section 161 of the Civil Code determines the
requirements of your nominations and Section 163 gov-
erns proceedings by the senate and the secretary of
state in case of ownfirmatioi.
